IBM announced to be Premier sponsor for OpenStack Summit

IBM revealed once again its support to open standards and open source actions, this time the Big Blue has announced to be Premier-level sponsor for the next OpenStack Summit that is going to be held in Atlanta, at the Georgia World Congress Center on May 12-16.The OpenStack Summit aims to mold the future of the cloud computing and IBM is one of the top supporter of the OpenStack community offering more than 330 IBM resources, furthermore integrating OpenStack into IBM offerings, and it has aldo announced to be investing more than $1 billion in OpenStack and Cloud Foundry’s open standards based Platform-as-a Service.

Additionally IBM declared its interest in the embracing of cloud computing and Big Blue was named as a founding member of jQuery, home to a JavaScript community that aims to simplify coding tasks. Also, IBM joined Pivotal to establish the Cloud Foundry to allow global collaboration with developers and cloud computing technologists in order to create a Platform-as-a-Service open source cloud computing platform for hybrid clouds.
