Release: Nebula One

On April 2, the privately held and venture‐funded Nebula announced the release of Nebula One, a private cloud system based on OpenStack.

Nebula One is a cloud computing system that provides compute, network and storage services and runs Cosmos, Nebula’s distributed enterprise cloud operating system, which builds on OpenStack

Nebula One core is an appliance, called Nebula Cloud Controller, that acts as a command and control system for traditional servers, being able to connect and manage various servers even if manufactured by different vendors (such as HP, IBM and Dell) turning them into an infrastructure-as-a-service cloud system.

Chris C. Kemp, co-founder and CEO of Nebula, said:
The Nebula One delivers on Nebula’s mission to democratize cloud computing by bringing the simplicity, agility, and operational efficiency of the world’s largest Internet companies to all enterprises at a fraction of the cost of public cloud services.
