Red Hat is putting a lot of effort in its OpenStack distribution that reached version 5 in July introducing the Icehouse OpenStack release.
The Raleigh open source giant has just announced a ready-to-deploy Open Virtual Appliance that aims to encourage the companies with a VMware-based infrastructure to evaluate Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform, the download will be available starting from next week from the Red Hat Customer Portal Page.
Radhesh Balakrishnan (general manager of Virtualization and OpenStack BU at Red Hat) said:
The Open Virtual Appliance for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform is designed to meet the customer need to make OpenStack easy to evaluate in environments with existing VMware vSphere and vCloud Suite infrastructures. In addition, this underscores our broader efforts already in motion around development, hardening and QE to make OpenStack enterprise-ready.
