Release: Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux (O3L) 1.0

Oracle has released its Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux (O3L). Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux is a distribution of the OpenStack (Icehouse) cloud framework integrated with the Oracle Linux Operating System and the Oracle VM Server virtualisation platform.

In December last year, Oracle announced its participation in the OpenStack foundation, releasing a technology preview based on the OpenStack Havana release, later refreshing the technical preview based on OpenStack Icehouse.

This release supports the Oracle VM Server Release 3.3, or the KVM hypervisor on Oracle Linux 6.5 or a later version of Oracle Linux 6. For networking the Open vSwitch plug-in is supported and as guest the same as for Oracle VM (Oracle Linux, Oracle Solaris, Microsoft Windows, and other flavors of Linux). For more information about what is included in this release see the release notes.
