On November 2nd Siliconrepublic published a video where Grace O’Rourke Veitch, Citrix Ireland country manager discuss about security on the Cloud.
Grace O’Rourke Veitch is mentioning in the video that security could be an issue on the cloud, as consumers are bringing their own devices (BYOD) into work and the private technology people are using sometimes is better that the one companies they work for can provide. One of the security concerns is that there is a potential for data leakage as workers are using external technology such as Dropbox without taking care of security issues.
O’Rourke Veitch also mentions that CIOs are becoming aware of the security risks and are managing the situation, accoring to Citrix Ireland Country Manager the future is going to be about having a combination of IT as a service delivering mobile apps and software as a service (SaaS) to any device.
